In 2024 An Eventful Life celebrates 14 years in the digital world of eventing. The website, which started with the book An Eventful Life – Life Stories of Eventing Champions published in 2010, has grown to be one of the most respected sources of information and video footage from around the world of eventing We provide fans with online news and event information while our 5* Subscribers have access to our event photo galleries, full length features and audio/video interviews. We also provide educational and informative feature articles on horse management, rider and horse training tips. Our cross country videos are one of the most popular digital products in the eventing world, providing riders, coaches, owners and ‘mums and dads’ with the ability to buy and watch individual cross country videos from events in the UK and Australia. A cross country course can be up to 6km long with multiple obstacles tackled around it; we have static cameras on every fence and proprietary software to manage the editing process of large amounts of footage following the event. An Eventful Life has filmed over 160,000 eventing competitors at over 500 events in Australia, New Zealand and the UK from the highest level of the sport (CCI5*) to grass roots, creating one of the most significant libraries of cross country footage available. The individual rides of competitors filmed are available to purchase and watch through our website. The cross country videos and the events where we film are also promoted by us across our social media channels with previews, video snippets during events and winners’ videos published after the event.
