About Anar Center

Anar Center is dedicated to fostering a love of Persian language and culture with immersive Persian classes (Farsi classes) on zoom from a warm and inviting homelike setting. Anar Center offers a variety of Persian classes, for both children and adults, at levels from introductory to advanced. Persian classes typically consist of five to ten students, to allow personalized attention and instruction. Each course comprises 8 sessions, which meets for an hour each week on a set day, Monday through Saturday. In our 8-week introductory courses students can expect to learn basic vocabulary, attain elementary language skills and achieve some conversational fluency. For children 5-6 years old, we focus on immersive play with the goal of attaining a basic level proficiency and confidence enough to introduce oneself, provide key biographical information and answer some simple questions. After going through the 4 levels of Adult Persian classes, students can expect to be conversant and able to read and write at a reasonable level to allow comfortable communication with a native speaker for fun, travel or business. Private and semi-private sessions can be scheduled during the week depending on instructor availability. Children must be at least 5 years old by the time they start their first class.
