About Ancestral Medicine

Ancestral Medicine is a dynamic learning organization with a diverse global audience. Through online courses, in-person intensives, and a professional network of certified practitioners, we seek to help humans rekindle relationship with Earth, ancestors, and self in ways that also encourage cultural healing. All of our teachings exist at the crossroads of ritual, psychology, and social systems; all our work is grounded in psychology and ritual safety. Our online courses run the gamut from foundational ritual and ancestral healing skills to deeper-dives on ways to connect with the other-than-human world. Most of our offerings include practices to support work for systemic and cultural change. You might think of us as non-dogmatic, pragmatic spirituality school for healer folks, smart saavy skeptics, and activist types. Our Ancestral Healing Practitioner Training program is primarily for those working at the crossroads of ritual, culture, and personal healing. The program fosters dialogues that breathe new life and magic into psychotherapy, activism, and healing arts. Our practitioners leave our training program prepared to offer ancestral healing services for others in addition to their other offerings. Embodied in animist and anti-supremacist ethics, we actively acknowledge the personhood of our other than human kin (e.g., animals, plants, mountains, and rivers). We acknowledge that cultural healing is the work of many lifetimes, and we nonetheless commit to uprooting and healing diverse manifestations of supremacy, as people, as an organization, and as network of ritualists. Our team includes from four-eight core members, several part-time contractors, and hundreds of ritualists from the AM Practitioner Network who help to guide our offerings. We’re based in the U.S. and in Granada, Spain, the adoptive home of our founder, Dr. Daniel Foor.
