Ancient Well Productions is a cinematic studio and cultural engine founded in 2023 to create cinema that heals, remembers, and reimagines. Born from a desire to work outside extractive models, Ancient Well is rooted in a liberatory creative process. We honor ancestral ways of knowing, center intuition and experimentation, and lead with care at every stage of production. We produce independent media that centers the global majority, challenges dominant narratives, and cultivates cultural transformation. Our work supports visionary artists telling stories grounded in liberation, memory, and spirit. At Ancient Well, storytelling is a tool for cultural memory, a site of resistance, and a ceremony of return. We believe in filmmaking as a healing practice, one that invites reflection, connection, and new possibilities. We work across documentary, narrative, and hybrid forms. From land-based research to immersive screenings, our process is deeply collaborative and community-centered. Every project is a living offering. Ancient Well exists to shape a new cinematic culture.
