About Andalucía Emprende, Fundación Pública Andaluza
We are a public foundation set up by the government of Andalusia, a region in the south of Spain with a workforce of more than 4 million people. Our mission is to help potential entrepreneurs in this territory to find their own answers, so that they contemplate entrepreneurship as a real employability choice and a gateway to their professional development. Andalucía Emprende´s purpose is, above all, to be USEFUL and AGILE. Where else but in Andalusia, the land with everything that entrepreneurs, business developers and investors may need. Our motto: always put entrepreneurs at the front and centre of what you do. By actively listening, by devoting ourselves to innovation, teamwork and public-private collaboration. Businesspeople, mentors and investors are more than welcome aboard our initiatives. Their generous, valuable time, knowledge and expertise are instrumental for us to provide entrepreneurs and businesses with the best support they can get. As a result, our pathbreaking, open and participative model has deservedly turned Andalucía Emprende into a benchmark organisation for the entrepreneurial communities not only in Spain but also abroad. We have been awarded the UN WSIS Award for ‘Reinicia’, a novel initiative for businesses’ reactivation. We also hold the Accenture ‘Digital Talent’ Prize for the best organisational innovation Project, one of the most important awards in the field of digital transformation in Spain. Finally, from the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) we received the Compass Award for the successful Entrepreneurship World Cup in Spain 2021, which attracted over twenty main stakeholders of our national entrepreneurship ecosystem.
