Andrell Education offer schools a range of approaches that we guarantee will raise standards if implemented fully. We strive for children of all backgrounds and circumstances to have an equal opportunity to succeed by providing rigorous, effective and proven approaches that allow a child to flourish. Our teaching methods have been implemented in thousands of schools in the UK and abroad. We believe that teaching is an art form, a calling and shall work tirelessly to support great teachers and schools around the world. Established as a company in 2005, Andrell Education started with Big Writing. Ros Wilson developed this teaching method between 1999 and 2003 after seeing first hand, as a Local Authority advisor to Kirklees council, that schools needed a comprehensive method for raising standards in writing. The chance to create an international school in Qatar with an ex colleague brought an opportunity for Big Writing to be implemented as a whole school approach. In the years that followed, Andrell Education has continually built on what has made Big Writing so successful worldwide by developing methods in other areas of the curriculum that contain the same messages. This was the catalyst for the creation of Big Maths in 2010 and Big Reading in 2012. All of our approaches offer a structured and rigorous framework for raising standards as well as encouraging children to have fun as they learn with exciting, fast paced lessons. Our resources provide support and underpin the messages we advocate. These resources are developed, written and published by our own highly skilled team. Producing our resources in this way allows us the flexibility to continually revisit and update our messages to reflect current best practice. We are constantly researching and reviewing our approaches to ensure we offer high quality CPD.
