Founded in 1995 by former four-term Idaho Governor and U.S. Secretary of the Interior Cecil D. Andrus, the Andrus Center for Public Policy is housed within Boise State University in Boise, Idaho. Mission: The Center promotes independent, non-partisan policy discussions on critical issues facing Idaho, the American West, and the United States. We achieve our mission through: - Convening Conferences and facilitating Civil Discourse: The Center hosts conferences on a variety of pressing topics, including environment and public lands, early-education, leadership and gender equity; encouraging solutions through political divides. - Producing Research and Analysis: We conduct research and provide analysis on public policy issues, offering valuable resources for policymakers and the public. - Empowering the Next Generation: Our Stewards of Tomorrow programs equip students with in-depth environmental studies and experiential learning. These nationwide programs convene passionate young minds from across the country, cultivating them into the environmental leaders of tomorrow.
