About ANEM | Portuguese Medical Students International Committee
ANEM Portugal is the Federation that legally represents all 10.500 medical students of Portugal. We also represent the Portuguese medical students internationally, being since its institution full-member of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA). The primary activity of ANEM Portugal concerns with problematic of Medical Education that affects directly or not medical students in Portugal. We also instigate discussion on post-graduation training in Medicine as a mean to excellence of Health Care. Besides these major goals, our vision is also affected by concerns on Public Health, Reproductive and Sexual Health, Human Rights and Medical Ethics, Medical Students' Training and additionally the national organization of short summer medical clerkships and International Cooperation on the logistics of a global Research and Professional Exchange Programme.
