Founded in October 2023, AGO was born from a shared frustration with the lack of representation, respect, and inclusion for women in fandoms often seen as “just for boys.” Through our work, we’re reshaping the culture of anime, gaming, K-pop, and fan communities by centering women’s voices and experiences. In less than a year, AGO has built a thriving community of over 500 members, hosted sold-out events and meetups, and collaborated with major partners including MCM Comic Con and All The Anime. Our mission is simple: to make nerd spaces more inclusive, supportive, and fun ensuring that every woman and girl-identifier feels seen, valued, and safe.
