Ankur Arts Productions (Ankur: pronounced "un-khoor" means "sapling" or "seedling") is a Glasgow-based professional production company and charity which nurtures developing Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) arts in Scotland. Mission To develop creative projects across all media that break new ground. Ankur achieves its aims through the production and presentation of new work; professional development and training opportunities for artists; extensive and innovative participation opportunities for marginalized audiences and through providing leadership and advocacy for BAME arts practice in Scotland. Ankur is the catalyst for new work, new approaches and new concepts which showcase diverse talents and cultures on a local, national and international stage. Company Overview We work with cross artforms to produce theatre, events and workshops. Our past productions have involved dance, theatre, visual arts, photography, film, music and literature.
