Anne Coyle has been practicing interior design in Chicago since 1997. After facing the prospect of renovating and decorating her newly purchased 3500 square foot vintage apartment in one of Chicago’s Historic Beaux Arts buildings, her career as a decorator was born. In the past 12 years, Mrs. Coyle has worked on a wide variety of projects, including many luxury family apartments, both vintage and modern, single family homes, loft residences, studio apartments, and beach houses in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, East Hampton and Harbour Island. Her work is based in classicism and symmetry, employing a mix of modern and traditional forms to create tension and contrast. Coyle also likes to mix important pieces with the “beautifully humble” to impart a sense of integrity to a room. That said, a deliberate and measured use of clear and unusual color is her signature style element. Once described as “loving the color of Sweettarts”, it is not unusual to see a controlled use of celadon green, lavender, icy blue, coral, pale pink or acid yellow balanced with grey, charcoal, oatmeal, and black and white in her interiors. The result is clean, happy and chic. Anne Coyle’s work is nationally acclaimed and appears in Elle Décor, O at Home, The Chicago Tribune, USA Today, Chicago Magazine, Chicago Social and CS Interiors. Her design work is also featured in many highly regarded decorating blogs, such as Style Court, Desire to Inspire, and The Peak of Chic.
