Anthrosite prioritises user-focused design that responds to our local climate, the evolving culture and the experience of the place. Anthrosite has evolved over the past decade, earning a reputation for quality design through our meticulous approach to both design and delivery of residential buildings. As we step into our second decade, we remain a small yet highly dedicated team, committed to creating architectural designs that are responsive to their occupants and respectful to the environment. We have found that strong relationships with the outdoors and integrating buildings and landscapes are significant to human comfort and health. We believe in designing the whole site as the space in which you live; a room is not defined as a set of walls with a roof. Experience shows us that whilst one may know a lot about a discipline, none of us know everything; in life, we learn and grow from every experience; they are all unique and fresh with opportunity. Because our world is not static but ever-changing, responding to design projects with good design requires flexibility. We are not static in a doctrine but instead delight in evolving in response to shifting contexts (including impacts of a global pandemic), experiences, ideas, material, research and technologies. All the above inform and augment the process of making a place to live and work full of subtlety and depth that enhances the everyday life of its user. We foster a collaborative approach, aiming to build trust and understanding in the development of our designs. We encourage open communication through discussions, drawings, digital models, and sometimes physical mediums, always choosing the most suitable method to share ideas.
