About Antimerch
Music merchandise has a problem... …cheap throwaway tee shirts, leftover stock that can't be resold, airfreighting merch to shows all over the globe, etc. This all contributes to the global crisis in fashion and the environment. At the same time, for many artists, already seeing a decline in revenue from other channels, merchandise is a vital source of income. Many tours would not be viable without this revenue plus fans want to buy things to support their favourite artists. Having worked in music merchandise for over 25 years with some of the largest artists in the world we are guilty of having contributed to the problem. We have made more tote bags than any one person should be responsible for. So we thought what if we built things differently this time. What if, instead of making more 'stuff' we only used things that were already made. What if, instead of making merch we made Antimerch?
