About Antony Kidman Foundation

The Antony Kidman Foundation is a private not-for-profit philanthropic organisation dedicated to improving mental health outcomes for young people by supporting the important work of The Kidman Centre, UTS, a clinical research facility of the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS). The Kidman Centre, UTS is an internationally recognised treatment and clinical research centre located within the Prince of Wales hospital in Randwick, NSW and is dedicated to the understanding, prevention and reduction of mental health problems in young people aged 5 to 25 and enabling their families to provide support. Professor Antony (Tony) Kidman AM (1938-2014) was a man of grand passions: war historian, scientist, singer, lover of performing arts and fitness enthusiast. He established the Centre to focus on the mental health of young people as the importance of early intervention in mental illness came to light.
