About Aoki

Aoki was established in 2009 by Helena Svärd and Camilla Blomgren. Aoki is one of the few Design and Communication agencies to be run by women, which is also reflected in our choice of partners, where we actively work to choose from a norm-critical perspective. All of our partners have cutting-edge expertise. We have extensive experience in building brands across different channels, from strategy to implementation, and work with organisations ranging from small local businesses to global corporations. We work with lifestyle clients, particularly within Retail and Culture. For us, lifestyle is about defining our relationship to the surrounding world, and creating a lifestyle which is fair, sustainable, challenges norms and is generous. We are deeply rooted in the cultural world, based on personal interest and prominent assignments for museums, exhibitions and performances. We often mix cultural assignments with our extensive experience of retail assignments, and vice versa. Our experience of the two worlds gives rise to new ideas. Through the years, Aoki has worked on assignments for a number of organisations that make the world a better place, both for individuals and all of society. We also work in the public sector, and as an example we have been contracted by the City of Gothenburg who are working towards a sustainable society and a city that is open to the world.
