A&P, part of the APCL Group, is a global marine engineering business which operates six dry docks across two strategic locations in the UK and delivers engineering excellence to the commercial marine, defence and renewable sectors. One of the largest commercial ship repair, conversion and marine specialists of its kind in the UK, A&P Group operates two sites at A&P Falmouth and A&P Tyne to provide: • Drydockings, ship repair and conversion • Specialist fabrication • Mobilisation and demobilisation • Refits, modifications and upgrades • Port Services including cruise, towage and cargo handling. All facilities combine a rich heritage of marine engineering skills and experience, providing ship owners and energy companies with all the precision skills needed to complete the most demanding projects. Today A&P and the wider APCL Group are delivering units for the Dreadnought class of nuclear submarines and units for HMS Belfast Ship 3 and HMS Birmingham Ship 4 of the new Type 26 class of frigates. These programmes are being delivered on behalf of BAE. A&P Group has continued to develop its capability in the marine sector and is a world leader specialising in military ship refit, commercial ship repair, upgrade and conversions. The APCL Group of companies is proud to maintain 100 per cent of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary flotilla. A&P Group's ultimate priority is to maintain a safety culture which protects its workforce, suppliers and visitors, which is underpinned by its Work Safe Home Safe programme. A&P has worked collaboratively with Lloyds Register to achieve ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001: 2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007. A&P has also been certified BS 11000 for collaborative working and has secured Cyber Essentials Plus Accreditation.
