The Apheresis center has been successfully helping patients since 2002. In 2010 the clinic's name and ownership changed officially and is now Aphereis Associates of Northern Virginia. The clinic is staffed by nurses and doctors with a total of over 65+ years experience in apheresis with the goal of providing the most comfortable, personal and positive experience possible. The staff at AANOVA know how challenging the donation experience can be and what can be done to make the process successful. The clinic is fully equipped to handle a number of services that your cellular therapy donor may require including Xrays, EKGs, laboratory testing, Filagrastim Injections, etc. A comfortable donor is a happy donor so to ensure a pleasant donation the clinic provides heated blankets, cable TV, DVD player and Wi Fi. Our staff is proud to be a part of the clinic's accomplishments; -2019 designated NMDP Center of Excellence -2018 participates in Be The Match Biotherapies Quality System Audit Program -2015 FACT accredititation for Peripheral Blood Cellular Therapy Product Collection, Adult -2013 AANOVA received an award from NMDP for the first apheresis center in the network to go over the 2,000 lifetime collections for the program -2011 Donor Management Innovation Award -as of 2009, ranked #1 in the world for number of peripheral stem cell collections for the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP)
