About APIMONDIA International Federation of Beekeepers' Associations
We are the International Federation of Beekeepers' Associations advancing apiculture and pollinators' well-being. We aim to foster unity among our stakeholders, including beekeepers, scientists, policymakers, and industry representatives. Together, we exchange knowledge and address issues for a sustainable future for bees and the community livelihoods. What we do: We partner with key stakeholders in policy-making and scientific consortiums. We promote scientific and industry-relevant workshops and webinars and organise our biennial flagship Apimondia International Congress. We focus on five main areas: 1) Beekeeping and Pollination: Promoting food production system and sustainable practices. 2) Environment & Conservation: Advocating for pollinator health and biodiversity. 3) Scientific & Research Knowledge: Promoting bee-related research and evidence-based knowledge transfer. 4) Advocacy & Policy: Influencing policies on sustainable beekeeping, pesticide use, invasive species, climate change, and honey adulteration. 5) International Development: We are committed to promoting and collaborating on global initiatives for sustainable beekeeping and rural development.
