APONTIS PHARMA (previously UCB Innere Medizin) is a German pharmaceutical company and currently active on the national market. We deliberately chose our name (lat. Pons = "the bridge"). We build bridges and see ourselves as mediators, supporters and donors of connections. We network doctors, patients, partners and health policy institutions. APONTIS PHARMA develops, markets and distributes a broad portfolio of single pills and other medicines, with a particular focus on cardiovascular diseases.With a steadily growing range of Single Pill combinations for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, lipid metabolism disorders and secondary prevention (treatments after the first heart attack or stroke) since 2013, we have created a good starting point for further growth and the vision of establishing the Single Pill therapy concept as the gold standard in the care of cardiovascular patients in the medium term. Single Pills combine two to three off-patent active ingredients in a combination preparation that is taken once a day. We have made a name for ourselves through our own product developments and the in-licensing of medicines that stand out as "best in class" due to their excellent study situation. We enter into strategic partnerships with companies by co-financing the research and development of these groundbreaking medicines and by communicating the high patient benefit to doctors through our sales force. In addition to our medicines, we take a holistic view of doctors' practices and patients. After all, medicines can only ever be part of the therapy. Our activities are therefore not only geared towards medical-scientific training of doctors, but go beyond that.
