Appalachian Outreach, Inc. (AOI) is a non-profit organization focused on Easing the Burden of Poverty throughoutthe region. Founded over 20 years ago, AOI, has roots in the beautiful state of West Virginia as a disaster relief organization. only to realize shortly after that poverty is a consistent disaster that many families have the burden of living with day in and day out. AOI is here to try and ease those burdens. Our focus is on Ohio, Marshall and Wetzel counties of West Virginia and we work diligently out of our warehouse to assist those in need. we collect new or gently used items and redistribute them to the folks in need. we also assist over 500 families a month with hygiene items distributed through collaborations throughout the region.
