About Applied Marine Sciences
Applied Marine Sciences (AMS) began as a direct result of its efforts to support the remediation of sensitive ecosystems which were impacted by the Exxon Valdez oil spill. Since its inception, AMS has expanded to provide advanced, scientific analysis in a wide array of ecological services for private industry, engineering consulting firms, non-profit organizations, academia, and public agencies at the local, state, federal, and international level. AMS utilizes a well-trained, highly qualified staff of scientists to provide timely, effective and innovative solutions for our clients. Our senior staff averages over 25 years of consulting experience in a wide range of marine aquatic science and environmental engineering disciplines. AMS has supported the completion of hundreds of marine and aquatic projects in San Francisco and Monterey Bays, and numerous other coastal sites throughout California with multi-matrix monitoring, data evaluation, project management oversight, permitting and habitat restoration.
