About AQAS

AQAS offers quality assurance procedures on national and international level. Since our establishment in 2002, AQAS has completed accreditation procedures for over 6.500 degree programmes at universities and universi-ties of applied sciences in Germany, Europe, and beyond. AQAS is a notified body for accreditation placed in Cologne, Germany. Our agency is accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Study Programmes in Germany, is registered in the European Register for Accreditation Agencies (EQAR) and is a member of the European Association of Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) as well as a member of the European Consortium of Accreditation Agencies (ECA). AQAS is entitled to accredit programmes of all disciplines and offered by all types of Higher Education Institutions. We assess programmes against the AQAS criteria for programme accreditation. These criteria have been developed based on the European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG) and the European Qualification Framework for Lifelong Learning.
