Aqua free GmbH was founded in 1999 in Hamburg, Germany and has established itself as a specialist in the field of membrane technology for medical purposes. In close collaboration with leading university hospitals, Aqua free developed a portfolio of water hygiene products that are nowadays applied on a large scale in European hospitals as well as in medical practices. Today several sales divisions across Europe serve our customers with our innovative water treatment solutions. An essential part of nosocomial infections is to be attributed to water associated bacteria such as Legionella and Pseudomonas. Only a holistic implementation of hygiene measures guarantees adequate protection for patients, visitors, doctors and nursing staff. In hospitals and medical practices, Aqua free filtration products provide safety especially in high-risk areas such as haematology, oncology or neonatology. Due to the sustainable usability of a wide range of our products and the associated positive impact on the environment, Aqua free was supported by the German Federal Environment Foundation. For our high-performance medical products quality assurance plays an important role. Our company is certified according to DIN EN ISO 13485. In addition, all Germlyser® products are Class I medical devices and carry the CE-mark. An unique full-service concept with processing, logistics, filter exchange service by well trained Aqua free-technicians and documentation of the medical devices guarantees a secure and professional process flow. The Aqua free system thus makes an important contribution to the risk management of hospital and medical practice clients. For infection control teams and hospital directors this full-service offer means support managing risks of claims for damages.
