Aquablast pioneered the use of Ultra High Pressure (UHP) water jetting at operating pressures over 35,000 psi in the UK North Sea offshore oil and gas industry. UHP waterjetting is widely favoured today instead of dry abrasive blasting because the pollution, transport, disposal and clean-up costs involved with dry blasting. The company is a specialist in "cold cutting" in hazardous locations using abrasive-entrained waterjets at pressures up to 60,000 psi (4000 bar). For many heavy duty cleaning and cutting tasks Aquablast designs and manufactures its own bespoke application tools based on over 30 years experience. Aquablast offers a complete CNC UHP waterjet profiling service with a bed size of 3m x 2m. Precision cutting in metals, plastics, stonework and many other hard materials. Perfect for prototyping or large batches. Aquablast manufactures custom-built low volume wet abrasive 'Aquablaster' units and assembles high pressure water jetting pumpsets ranging from 10,000 psi (700 bar) to 60,000 psi (4000 bar) at water flows as low as 4 litres per minute.
