About Aquatic Vegetation Control
Aquatic Vegetation Control, Inc. (AVC) is a Florida corporation established in 1986 offering vegetation management and general environmental consulting services throughout the southeast. Since its establishment as an exotic/nuisance vegetation management company specializing in the control of invasive wetland and upland species, AVC has broadened its scope of capabilities to include chemical mowing, certified lake management, re-vegetation, restoration services, roadside and utility vegetation management, and general environmental/ecological consulting. We have a clear understanding of all the components required to complete any task order including; Invasive Plant Management Activities, Aquatic Plant Management Activities, Mechanical Control of Vegetation - Natural Area, Mechanical Control of Vegetation – Aquatic, Environmental Restoration, Vegetation Surveys and GIS Mapping. AVC employs approximately 50 FDACS certified pesticide applicators in several categories including Core, Aquatic, Right of Way, Natural Areas, Research/Demonstration and Turf/Ornamental. All AVC employees are trained to operate Swamp buggies, airboats, skiffs and any type of equipment required under the scope of services with minimal impact to the environment. We have the capability to successfully complete any invasive plant control in the southeast United States in a safe manner. AVC was founded on the basis of providing innovative and cost-effective services to public and private clients with projects that include natural resource or water management concerns. Services are provided in a professional and personal manner, such that clients are kept informed and included in each phase of a project. This interaction is achieved by providing experienced, competent professionals that function as an extension of a client's staff.
