About AQUATREAT

AQUATREAT is a Belgian producer and developer of fine chemicals for industrial water treatment since 1976. We are both the doctor and the pharmacist for water problems. We examine the problem, and then we perscribe the remedy, sometimes off the shelves, sometimes after months or years of R&D in our labs. Water is fascinating: both a source of life and destruction. We see corrosion, deposits and microbiological problems in a lot of industrial applications like cooling towers, steam boilers, RO. We realise that innovation is the only thing that can set us apart, so in the field and in the laboratory we do what Steve Jobs said: 'stay hungry, stay foolish'. We have a passion for water and sustainability, and combining them makes us unique. Long before anyone in the water treatment business was caring about sustainability, we were already looking for environmental friendly solutions for water problems. In the 70's, when everyone was treating cooling towers with toxic chromates, we found an alternative. In the 80's, when everyone was dosing excessive amounts of biocides, we were the only ones that could treat a cooling tower without. (Read: 'probiotic cooling water treatment program'). Today, we still use less and greener chemicals than anyone else in the business. Since '17 a range of antiscalants, cleaners and corrosion control products are NSF Standard 60 certified, which means they are safe to use in drinking water production. We operate from a solid wood state-of-the-art high-tech production unit and product development labs, low and passive energy, completely self providing all of its water and energy, with zero disposal of waste water. This is how we continue to set the benchmark, and this is why we export our products to over 30 countries worldwide, building a network of like minded people.
