About Arab Ray for art and media (A.R.A.M)

Arab Ray for Art and Media (ARAM). ARAM is a private sector cultural firm that has been involved since establishment in 2006 in numerous educational art projects in Jordan and the region. Since establishment ARAM has launched a cultural art project called “Trailer Puppet Theater”; the goal of this project is to reach out for children and adolescents with an educational program focusing on human rights education. The following is a brief of art performances ARAM has undertaken to date: -Puppet Theater: We Are Here (2006) a children rights educational show supported by Amman Municipality with a total of 234 shows to date. A Planet of Colors (2009) a gender equality educational show supported by CIDA’s Gender and Social Fund with a total of 365 shows to date. -Radio Shows: Arab Prominent Figures (2007) a 60 episode radio show for Qatar Radio, Darina Magical World (2008) a 60 episode radio show for children for Qatar Radio, Aref and Arefa (2011) a 20 episode radio show for a local Jordanian radio station. -Theater: O Badain (2014) a performance by artist Zuhair Noubani, The Palestinian Apocalypse (2012) a performance by artist Salah Hourani. -Cultural events: A workshop on puppet performance-Jordan (2009), Arab Forum for Puppet Theater- Sharja- UAE (2013), Celebrating the International Day for Protection of Children- Abu Dhabi-UAE (2013), Children Cultural Program for Amman Book Fair- Amman-Jordan (2014) -Utilizing Drama Performance to Mobilize Social Change and Enhance Protection for youth and Adolescents at Risk ( I'm a Human ) supported by The Drosos Foundation
