Mission: Arboretum Coffee uses excellent coffee and goods to cultivate loving, flourishing communities with refugee youth, families, and other immigrants in a dignified and restful space that enables each person to thrive holistically. We do this by offering job-training and holistic development programs where refugees can actualize their potential. Vision We envision flourishing local and refugee communities walking together in reciprocal growth, restoration, and love. We celebrate that we are better together than we could be apart. We're a social enterprise in Fort Collins, CO aiming to empower refugees and immigrants while simultaneously enriching the broader community. We address barriers in the resettlement process by providing a safe and dignified workplace where apprentices receive a living wage and attend classes to learn essential skills. Our 12-month paid apprenticeship program with a focus on leadership development and learning workplace culture is the backbone of our operation. It focuses on training young individuals between the ages of 18 and 24 in essential barista and life skills. However, it doesn't stop at technical skills; we also provide classes in customer service, workplace culture, financial literacy, and career preparation, along with referral partners for English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. This comprehensive approach ensures that our apprentices are not only job-ready but also equipped with the skills necessary to thrive in their personal and professional lives. Beyond employment, we offer mentorship and networking opportunities, enhancing the social capital of our apprentices. Our apprentices are paired with mentors who help them navigate the cultural landscape and pursue their personal aspirations. Finally, Arboretum Coffee isn't just a place to work; it's a place to build relationships. We are firm believers in the power of connection and collaboration, and we actively foster relationships and community growth.
