About Arch'lab

We are a home-grown architectural practice with a global presence. Through our work with numerous local and regional healthcare and research institutions, we have developed a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the design of healthcare facilities, different types of laboratories and high-containment facilities. Our role as a designer is closely tied with our role as a medical planner or a laboratory planner, as the flow of people and work processes are foremost to the design of such facilities. A design should not only be functional but should also be enlivening. We strive to create an identity to a facility, leaving visitors and staff members an emotional memory of the facility after departure. We encourage collaborations through creating spaces for deliberate interactions, and pause spaces for chance encounters. Our design starts with listening to the users’ needs, paying close attention to the users’ desired experience in the future facility, and to realize their vision through empathy-in-design and close attention to detail. Efficiency of work processes is also a vital component of our design process, and when called for, we will put on our process re-engineering hat to work with users in materializing improvements in our design. Our team of professionals is tight-knit and collaborative, allowing us to have an amalgam of different minds and experiences, augmenting each other’s strengths to bring value to our clients beyond just design.
