About Archrival, Sydney

Archrival is a non-profit organisation that unites the creative community through unsolicited projects. Archrival explores new practices in architecture and design, by operating as a strategic out-of-hours practice. We seek to undertake research, provide leadership within the design community, and take a proactive approach to creating new work in the public realm. Archrival was formed in 2011 and has involved hundreds of collaborators in its projects to date. Archrival believes that standard practices need to be challenged in order to remain valid, and we seek to do so through exploring the possibilities of creative rivalry, interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation. Archrival has created work for leading exhibitions and events including Sydney Fringe 2011, Sydney Festival 2012, the Venice International Architecture Biennale 2012, Sydney Art Month 2013, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 2013, Art & About 2013, Sydney Architecture Festival 2013, and Waverley Council's 'Complete Streets' program (2013).
