Founded inside Toyota Iceland in 1990 and expanding globally from our UK-based international development office, Arctic Trucks combines innovative expedition-proven engineering with the Icelandic spirit of adventure, to create ultimate off-road vehicles with un-matched mobility characteristics over all terrains. Arctic Trucks have conquered the world’s harshest environments, with over 340,000 km covered on the Antarctic plateau, reaching the South Pole over 50 times and providing the vehicles for BBC Top Gear’s famous adventure to the Magnetic North Pole. Compared to conventional tracked vehicles, Arctic Trucks polar solutions offer the significantly increased traversing speeds, drastically reduced fuel consumption and minimal environmental footprint that our scientific and expeditionary clients now demand. Arctic Trucks is THE chosen partner to many of the world’s leading OEMs, building excitement, interest and ‘halo’ demand around their core 4x4 product offerings. Arctic Trucks are sold globally through official OEM dealer networks with full warranty and type approval. With facilities in the UK, Iceland, Norway, UAE, Russia, Poland, Finland and beyond. This market is fuelling our growth as we venture into new markets and seek new partners to bring Arctic Trucks to new customers. The specialist vehicles business takes Arctic Trucks’ extreme mobility, engineering and systems integration experience to produce vehicles for a variety of bespoke requirements. Arctic Trucks is now privately owned and produces around 1,000 Arctic Trucks per year which vary from ‘halo’ pick-up modifications to Earth-conquering polar vehicles which will spend their entire lives in Antarctica.
