About Ardbol

Ardbol is a family run organisation that aims at creating a Food forest in Northern Spain. "Because we want to do something for the health of the Earth '' as one of the founders said. The Food forest is the basis of all Regenerative processes that can follow in an organic way. The name Ardbol is a combination of the Dutch word 'Aardbol' which means Earth globe and also contains the word 'aarde' which means soil. In Spanish 'Arbol' means, you guess it? Tree. We strive to enable the conditions for the emergence of a beautiful community made of human and non-human nature, in which biodiverse animals, fungi, bacteria and plants thrive together with (biodiverse) people. Local trade of healthy food, off-grid energy generation will follow and attract ecotourism and educational activities, which will attract more local job creation. At some point in time, just like a forest, an equilibrium is reached where positive life enabling interactions will stimulate more life enabling interactions. Health will then be created by itself.
