About ARI ( Atlanta Redemption Ink)

Atlanta Redemption Ink (ARI) is a survivor-led, community-funded nonprofit transforming the scars of exploitation, addiction, gang involvement, and self-harm into symbols of hope and freedom. For nearly a decade, we’ve built a national network of trauma-informed tattoo artists, removal specialists, and scar-visionists who partner with us to cover or remove branding tattoos and markings placed through trafficking, abuse, and exploitation. Survivors reclaim their bodies, their stories, and their dignity—one piece of skin at a time. Our work goes beyond artistry: • Direct Survivor Support – Safe, trauma-informed cover-ups and removals across the U.S. • Training & Education – For tattoo/body modification professionals, law enforcement, prosecutors, medical staff, educators, and multidisciplinary teams on tattoo indicators and trafficking patterns. • Advocacy & Reform – Survivor-led efforts to change policy and eliminate systemic barriers like statute of limitations laws that silence survivors. • Community Collaboration – Building bridges between survivors, allies, and industries to create lasting impact. ARI is not powered by large grants or corporate funding — it’s fueled by grassroots supporters, survivor leadership, and a belief that artistry can restore dignity where exploitation tried to steal it. From local Georgia communities to national partnerships, ARI is restoring skin, rewriting stories, and reshaping systems.
