Designing for main characters, fighters and dreamers with one foot in the fictional dimension and the other resolutely anchored in reality. Sporty, colorful yet elegant with a touch of humour. Blending frontiers between Orient and Occident, fiction and reality, individualistic yet universal since 2022 The new collective label ARISTHANE intends to manifest, season after season, a full new contemporary mythology aiming to build Universal culture(s). The first motivation for Maïssane Zinaï’s work, founder of the label, is a visceral need to tell stories and make shelters for the individuals who hope for something more than what everyday life provides us. More than a fashion label, ARISTHANE’s practice extends to world design crossing frontiers between cloth and accessories design, medicine, spirituality, digital and biosciences through collections of clothing but also sound designs, performance recordings, sport demonstration, writings, biology academic papers, journalistic political review, event, culinary pieces etc ... anything necessary to prove the existence of a place and its people. These realistic fantasies become a platform to explore our physical relation to our environment, memories, and synesthesia with other creatives yet additionally a portal to raise awareness about neurodivergence such as autism and its pluridisciplinarism. Through sustainable and ethical practice and a vigorous network of values including the celebration of minorities’ powers, diversity, and inclusivity, ARISTHANE articulates questions of cultures and dimensions which can be physical, artificial, virtual, or sensorial. Today it counts 54 worlds with their own unique cultures, 7 spiritualities revolving around the understanding of the Innit, 5 languages with 2 fully speakable ones, 18 years of world-building and alien exploration, 44856 hours of busy night and day dreams projecting landscapes and visualizing rituals ...
