About Arizona Office of Economic Opportunity
The Arizona Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO) is proud to carry out Governor Hobbs’s charge to build Arizona’s workforce of the future and expand opportunity for training that leads to good-paying jobs. The OEO team carries this out with state partners, alongside federal, local, and tribal governments, education, business, organized labor and other community leaders. Our mission includes the responsibility to serve as Arizona’s workforce planning coordinator, support the Workforce Arizona Council, provide stewardship of the state workforce data evaluation system, provide economic and demographic research and analysis – including population estimates, provide employment and unemployment analysis, and develop labor market information for the development of the state workforce strategy. OEO also provides administrative and analytic support to the Arizona Finance Authority and coordinates with the Arizona Finance Authority Director. Among other important duties, OEO also provides analytical support to key state partner agencies.
