Here at "Armstrong Pickups" we pride ourselves in the Manufacturing of the worlds finest hand made bespoke pickups for any and all stringed instruments. The business was founded by my Grandfather Dan Armstrong in Greenwich village. He was instumental in the development and design of many early bass and guitar pickups, including the pickup systyem which was used on his signiture plexi glass Dan Armstrong Guitar made by Ampeg. My Father Kent Armstrong was trained as a youngster by Bill Lawrence who is a world authority on pickups. When my dad came over to England with Dan, Kent decided to set up his own pickup business. After many years of hard graft with both his hand made range of high class pickups and his very reasonably priced Korean range he has estabished himself as one of the worlds most experienced and knowlageable pickup manufacturers. In turn I myself started training with my Father making pickups straight after leaving school in 1998 (although thinking back he had me working for my pocket money with him ever since I can remember!). Late 1999 Both my parents decided to move to Vermont. Although young and relativley inexperienced my Father intrusted the European side of his company to me. It was a sharp learning curve as anyone who runs thier own business will appreiciate, but now after 12 years I feel I have found my footing and can only hope to emulate the good work that has gone before me.
