For more than half a century, the district of SoHo has been the foundation of the arts in New York City. Today, the streets of SoHo feel like a ghost town as NYC has been one of the hardest hit cities in the country. However, the opportunity to reintroduce the magic of the city is at our fingertips. What if we were able to turn this tumultuous time in human history into an opportunity for people to come together to create something beautiful? Our vision is to transform the district by bringing together artists who are passionate about making an impact and standing for social justice by leveraging the power of art to form comprehensive solutions to the current social unrest. In the midst of our national crisis, our concrete jungle, New York City, has transformed into a plywood jungle. Thousands of boards of plywood have been secured by store owners to protect their storefronts from rioters and looters. However, using the power of love and art, we have the opportunity to heal the issues that are rotting our world from the inside out. The Art 4 the Heart team is unleashing collective creativity and the power of art to transform our society and bring magic, energy and love back to New York City.
