About Art 4 New York

Art 4 New York (A4NY) is a Non-Profit Organization that wields authentic self-expression and kindness as tools for wellness and positivity. Independent of the medical and healthcare system, A4NY cultivates community by encouraging active engagement through participatory arts, multidisciplinary programs, and strategic partnerships that promote mental and physical activities throughout the year. We believe the arts (music, theatre, dance, and visual arts) have tremendous power when used to bring people together, relieve social isolation, and foster a robust community of woke, resilient New Yorkers who value the diversity and multiculturalism of our great city. Our current flagship program “Medicine 4 the Soul,” uplifts ageing adults through the fine arts at local nursing and rehabilitation centers. Our residents cannot easily access theaters or museums themselves, therefore we bring it to them and build a collaborative space that is multi-generational and reflects the ethnic diversity of an NY subway car. Our mission is driven by our commitment to the 4 C’s: Creativity, Community, Connection, and Compassion.
