About Art Catch

Art Catch is the first international online gallery with a particular focus on Russian and Eastern European contemporary art. The gallery works primarily with established artists with a certain exhibition record and proved artistic reputation in institutional art circles. Such approach aims at presenting a clear vision of contemporary art stage in these countries to a Western public and professional community. Selected projects by the artists represented by Art Catch were nominated for the Kandinsky Prize and Innovation award; won the World Press Photo contest, exhibited at such venues as Documenta, Manifesta 10, Venice Biennale and other important international and local art shows. The gallery represents artists working with various media: painting, photography, video, sculpture and performance. The gallery also focuses on the support and development of culture of conscious art collecting in the middle-price segment: the online exhibition platform showcases private collections of contemporary art. Most of the works available at the gallery have a proved exhibition provenance. Despite its gallery activities, Art Catch serves as a cultural hub providing logistics services and publishing materials. All of the works presented on the gallery website are available for purchase or as a loan for an exhibition. We also undertake costs for bringing the artworks worldwide. Publishing section is engaged with translation into English and editing critical materials printed in Russian institutional art magazines. The gallery cooperates with curators, critics, journalists, universities and art galleries to provide a professional public with most up-to-date information and texts on contemporary art. Art Catch sees its mission as an agent in making contemporary art more accessible and visible and so we eagerly engage in networking process to connect passionate professionals, artists and collectors.
