About Art Instruction Schools

The Premier Distance Art Education Program serving over 1 million students since 1914. We are the low cost alternative to traditional post-secondary art education programs. We provide all instruction, textbooks, materials, art supplies and more for less than what it costs to park at most major institutions. We send you everything you need to complete the course through the mail and you do the work at your place, at your pace. The average time to complete the 27 lesson program is 18 - 24 months and upon completion, the certification of completion is recommended by American Council on Education (ACE) for up to 24 semester college credit. We are also accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC).
