Artis Capital was created in 2009 with the aim of meeting the strategic capital needs of a next generation of private real estate sponsors emerging from the Great Recession. Since then, Artis has successfully represented a variety of vertically integrated commercial real estate owner/investor/operators which investors have viewed as strong candidates to out-perform industry benchmarks based on the strength of their executive teams and active management strategies. Over the years the partners have been working together as a team, Artis Capital has been involved in over $2.5 billion in capital placements, spanning LP and co-GP equity, as well as mezzanine debt, preferred equity and senior debt. The firm provides a focused approach, access to a diversified and global investor base and deep real estate industry expertise, with a specialty in programmatic, long-term relationships and non-traditional structures. Artis emphasizes rigorous risk assessment, tailored transaction structuring and selectivity in choosing client engagements.
