ARTISAN GROUP (“Artisan”) undertakes design development and management of long tenure real estate in capital and gateway cities in Asia. The Group was founded by Ronald Howe who has spent over 30 years in international corporate finance, private equity and venture capital investment and management. Artisan designs, develops, and operates specialty real estate projects such as Villa Song Saigon in Vietnam, an award-winning boutique hotel with 23 unique and luxuriously appointed rooms and suites, located in Ho Chi Minh City along the banks of the Saigon River. Artisan Group is an active lead investor involved in acquisition through design development and asset management of a project. Its work typically involves the restoration of land and buildings, and rebuilding communities with renewed purpose. Artisan engages with communities through employment and development of local talent, local sourcing, and community collaboration programs. Ronald has held senior management positions with leading Asian institutions. He was managing director and head of the private equity and venture capital business of DBS Bank, formerly a director for regional corporate finance with Jardine Fleming Group (merged with J.P. Morgan), and was a board member and executive director of Schroders Asia (acquired by Citibank). He served as advisor and CEO of the property group of Rajawali Corporation of Indonesia and led the strategic development of its real estate portfolio of 11 properties across the Asia Pacific which included the Four Seasons and St. Regis in Jakarta, St. Regis Resort in Bali, Westin Langkawi and Marriott Gold Coast. Ronald is presently Advisor for Group Strategy and Development to HSL, a leading Asian infrastructure engineering services corporation focused in water, energy, food and environment sustainability solutions.
