About Artistic Freedom Initiative
We are a group of human rights activists, lawyers, academics and artists working together to advance and promote artistic freedom and peaceful dialogue through art. AFI provides wide-ranging support to artists, including pro bono immigration representation for international artists who wish to travel or emigrate to the United States to pursue their creative endeavors. In addition: - We work with partner organizations to help artists find temporary housing and studio space, as well as residency, employment, internship, education and networking opportunities. - We team up with galleries, museums, curators and collectors to promote the work of immigrant artists. We are always seeking to expand our network of artists, and forge new partnerships with residency programs, arts and culture organizations, galleries, museums and fellow advocates.
