Since 1973, the Arts Council of Rockland (ACOR) has ensured that the arts remain vibrant and inclusive in Rockland County. ACOR is dedicated to advancing the arts, culture, and the role of artists/creatives in our community. We seek to foster appreciation and participation in the arts in the diverse communities that comprise Rockland County, NY by providing programs of interest to the community and our members, professional development to artists and educators, marketing resources for artists and arts organizations, access to grant opportunities, scholarships, and increased opportunities to network and collaborate. ACOR is the only organization in Rockland County solely dedicated to providing support and technical assistance to artists/creatives and art organizations. We facilitate connections to maximize resources, collaboration, and impact. Whether we are implementing programming, promoting events, recruiting volunteers, or spreading awareness, ACOR is constantly linking artists and art organizations to opportunities and partnerships, which is the foundation of our mission and vision.
