ASC is a non-profit Local Arts Agency dedicated to holistically nurturing and sustaining Charlotte-Mecklenburg's cultural ecosystem. We serve as the designated “Office of Cultural Resources” for the City of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, and six suburban towns. ASC’s three-pronged approach is dismantling barriers and creating diverse, self-sustaining communities that invest in the upward mobility of its people and organizations. We operate as a FUNDER and fundraiser, providing a variety of grants, public art, supporting community-led initiatives through our Culture Blocks program, and financial resources to our community. We are also a RESOURCE and, an ADVOCATE, providing cultural education programs, workshops, trainings, cultural planning, and local advocacy for the arts and sciences. -------------------------------- 1.
