About ASCE Metropolitan Section
Established in 1920, the ASCE Metropolitan Section is the local New York City metro section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). It represents Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island, Nassau and Suffolk counties on Long Island, Rockland and Westchester counties in the Lower Hudson Valley. It is a highly regarded professional organization that serves civil engineers in diverse technical groups by helping them to raise awareness, stay abreast of industry news and events, network, receive professional development credits, collaborate as well as mentor both younger civil engineers and students. With over 5,000 members strong, the Met Section is one of the largest and most active ASCE sections in the United States with talented, vibrant and dedicated members committed to its ongoing growth and success.
