Ascend Justice is a mission-driven organization. Our mission is to empower individuals and families impacted by gender-based violence or the child welfare system—we strive to help people achieve safety and stability through holistic legal advocacy and system reform. Since our founding in 1982 and incorporation in 1989 as Pro Bono Advocates, through our 14 years as the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic, and today, as Ascend Justice, we continue to work to increase the safety and independence of domestic violence survivors with skilled and compassionate legal representation. Our work helps build stronger communities, where people have the power to navigate fair systems and overcome violence.
