Ascensa Health at St. Jude's Recovery Center provides a behavioral health system of care that sustains recovery and returns individuals to their communities and families. The agency offers its integrated treatment services to individuals who are fighting addiction, co-occurring mental health and homelessness in Metro Atlanta and across the state of Georgia. The agency serves approximately 1,500 individuals each year: men, women, veterans and families with children who are low income, do not have health insurance and cannot afford lifesaving treatment. Since 1962, Ascensa Health has helped individuals and families rebuild their lives to become healthy, self-sufficient and productive. Today, the agency is one of the few nonprofit treatment centers in the state of Georgia that provides a full continuum of care that includes detoxification, intensive day treatment, residential programs, outpatient treatment services, medication-assisted treatment, family services, individual and group counseling, 12-step groups, primary healthcare, employment services, recovery residences and continuing care.
