Aberdeen Skills and Enterprise Training Ltd (ASET) trading as ASET International Energy Training Academy is a wholly owned subsidiary company of North East Scotland College. ASET has capitalized on the wealth of resources and on the expertise available within Aberdeen, the acknowledged oil and gas capital of Europe. Our lecturers possess extensive industrial experience in their respective fields in addition to their appropriate instructor and assessor qualifications. In meeting industry demands and expectations ASET has developed a wide range of competence based training and assessment programmes to meet the needs of the oil, gas, process and marine industries and to meet the accreditation demands of qualification Awarding Bodies and Industry Associations. The centre delivers long and short course programmes to 150 delegates every working day. ASET’s fully functional training equipment including the fully functional Abcol Oil & Gas Production Training Platform and Delta V Control System, the most up-to-date HV / LV switchgear, the Hazardous Area Ex Electrical and Instrumentation Training Centre, Marine Operations, Dynamic Positioning and Semi Submersible and Jack-Up Training Simulator ensure that delegates are trained and develop new skills in a realistic but safe environment – “Reality without the risk”.
