HISTORY Ashley Academy was founded in 1979 to provide a challenging educational program to bright and gifted children. For forty years, Ashley Academy has maintained exemplary standards in the preschool through eighth grade levels. Organized as an independent, co-educational, private school, Ashley Academy promotes learning in an atmosphere that nurtures character, responsibility, and self-worth. MISSION The mission of Ashley Academy is to provide children with unique and challenging learning opportunities in a nurturing, safe, and culturally diverse environment. We develop scholars, innovators, and leaders. OUR MASCOT: THE GRIFFIN The Griffin is comprised of two animals, the lion and the eagle, both of which are at the top of the animal kingdom. The eagle is known for its keen sight, both far and wide, yet is able to focus in on the most important aspects of any situation. The lion is known for being brave and courageous, regardless of the challenges they face. As Ashley Academy Griffins, we strive to see the big picture, taking in the whole view of what is before us, and have the courage to take on any challenges that come our way.
